Dear Diary,
I love being a mom. Have I mentioned that recently? I really do.

But it is not always easy breezy...last week was rough. Thanks to a little stomach bug that we passed around...we have been out of commission. Feeling feeverish, cranky, and tired-  Nixon (and I) wanted to be constantly held.

I would put him down for a second and then would feel a little tug at my shirt... I'd look down  to see this little face peering up at me with his arms raised grunting as to say "hold me, hold me." So I did... even with week arms, an upset stomach and extreme fatigue. I am a mom... that is what we do.

I am so glad we are all healthy and back to normal... so much more fun to have this summer!

Besitos xoxo,

Grateful mama

Dear 32 year old guy-
I still think you are pretty cute even though you are 32.

So I don't die on the mtn.

     Dear Diary,

Today I was going to write about my Monthly Meal Planning System I got going… but then I found this.

The note reads: (In case you can't read his chicken scratches)

To by Beautiful wife, (I love when he says that) so she doesn’t die while riding down the mtn. Love, your husband.

Two weekends ago we were up in McCall on the ski hill and I was cruising along enjoying myself  (literally day dreaming about starting up my blog again) when I hit a patch of ice and caught my edge and then... boom...I flew head first down the steepest part of the hill and smacked the back of my head against the ice. I seriously thought I had cracked my head open… I didn’t have a helmet. My husband on the other hand did… and now I do too.

He is the best.

Besitos xoxo,
      A grateful wife.

P.S. Speaking of helmets and slightly dangerous situations... Here is daddy and Nixon skiing down the bunny hill to the car. (Nixon's first ski experience) Brooks wants to buy a backpack to take him skiing with us every time ...I am not too sure about that. Maybe next year we can teach him to ski.

I have the best Husband!

Dear Diary,
I love my husband. He stayed up late tonight (this morning) designing me banner for my blog. He is amazing. I gave him this photo and told him to design something around it. He loves comic books and was inspired by a design he was working on for his Sustainable Wood Sunglass Company- Proof. Did I mention he is amazing.

I *heart* him. Now if only he would actually read my blog. ;)

Yikes- it's late...I am subbing for someone at church and gotta start working on a sunday school lesson!

Love, a very happy wife

SEEING MAGAZINE.

Dear Diary,
It's Friday night... Brooks and I decided to go to bed early to get caught up with our sleep from out late night adventures this week. The only problem is that I find myself awake still. Brooks on the other hand is not awake...in fact he is snoring away (he says he doesn’t but he does sometimes) next to me... meanwhile, I lay here in bed reading… actually… just looking through the photographs of the new “Seeing Magazine” I just got in the mail. I ripped the plastic off the minute it touched my fingertips and flipped through the pages. I love the texture of the pages- they are like matte finished with a hint of texture and feel so amazing. The magazine is simple- mostly photographs and few sentences scattered on pages. It’s so simple that I don’t want to over do the description…basically it is about seeing the “small things”- about real people and real life stories of the everyday life. Best part NO ADS!  I heart this magazine! Thanks Bianca for introducing it to me! Go out and get it!

Love, CDAME
