Dear Nixon,
Tonight I found this photo on the desktop that I took over a month ago and it made me smile. I thought: Why am I so in love you?
With the day to ourselves, (daddy was out of town) my favorite moment by far was cuddling with you in our rocking chair listening to Jewel. You fell asleep and melted into my shoulder and I wanted to stop time and be there forever. Wrapping my hand around your little head, I memorized the way you felt, smelled, and even sounded… For that moment you were safe there in my arms. One day you will be too big and these moments will be filled with other great moments...busier ones I am sure. Sometimes I can’t believe you are here. It was just about over a year ago that I found out that you were in my belly! Today, you are my healthy five-month-old who is growing faster than I like. Why can’t I stop time? Here is to many more moments like this one today. You melt my heart.
